A Visit to Rancho Obi-Wan

Hello Jason and Jimmy,

I wanted to let you guys know that I had wonderful visit to Rancho Obi-Wan this past Saturday. Myself, my father, and two friends took the short drive over to Petaluma. We were greeted by the wonderful Anne Neumann who showed us the grounds and took us in to meet Steve. The tour of the museum is more about Steve than the collection itself. His personality and showmanship more than equals the size of his collection. It was surreal to be in a place that I had only seen in images for so long; my expectations were more than surpassed.

I had a wonderful time discussing collecting with Steve and Anne and showing them photos of my own collection. I was able to claim a prize collectible after the tour for pointing out the missing Jawa in the Star Wars 1 year anniversary poster. All in all it was an absolutely mind blowing and I highly recommend a visit to anyone who can. I'll attach a few photos from my visit. Thanks guys and may the Force be with you!

"JAT" at SWW

Hey Jason, Jimmy Mac, and the ForceCast. Last year at Disney's Star Wars Weekends I donned the ForceCast T-Shirt, got James Arnold Taylor's Autograph, and proudly did my solo clap at The Clone Wars panel with Dave Filoni. This year I got a nice 8x10 picture signed by James. I asked him to sign it as Ben from California, but he declined. :) Star Wars Weekends was great and I can't wait to see
you guys this year at CVI.

And Jason, you sang me Happy Birthday at the beginning of CV, so I
will definitely be there to sing you Happy Birthday at the end of CVI.

A New Listener And An Old Vintage Figure

Hey guys, I just wanted to shoot you a quick email to let you know I’m a pretty new listener (have been listening for about six months or so). The thing is, I am a mail carrier so I have about 6-7 hours a day, every day, during which I listen to assorted podcasts. Yours has become my favorite. I’ve even been able to go back and listen to quite a few older episodes, and I have to say, even though I have never reached out to you guys before, you have already made me feel like family. I’m the same age as Jason, so I have a lot of the same points of view as he does. At the same time, I feel like I share a lot of personality traits with Jimmy, so I have really been able to relate to a lot of your conversations.

I could go on and on, but I want to keep this somewhat short. I did want to try and give something back, so I have included an image of one of my original toys that I still own and that I heard Jimmy Mac say he missed out on as a kid. I know it’s not as good as having the real thing, but I thought seeing some images of the double telescoping Luke might be neat for you. I’ll post it on the ForceCast Facebook page in case any other listeners are interested in seeing it as well.

Anyway, thanks again for all you do.

Thoughts on 1313

Hey guys! I just listened to The Weekly ForceCast and heard about the new video game. Since it is based on Coruscant and is about bounty hunters, I wonder if Cad Bane could play any role in this game. A few ForceCasts ago, we heard about the writeup on a Cad collectable saying he did some hunting for the Empire. Since the game is based in the Episodes 3-4 timeline (the rise of the Empire), I wonder if he might be included. This is the time when the Empire would be needing to get rid of enemies. Just a thought. ;)

Also, I would really love to get my hands on a set of ForceCast trading cards. My parents won't let me get a Facebook (I'm sure you know how that is) and I can't make it to Illinois on the 16th for your other show. I'm a HUGE fan of The ForceCast and would love to get me a set. :)

THANKS FOR ALL YOU DO FOR THE STAR WARS COMMUNITY! :)

-Will
