Nothing beats combining a holiday with Star Wars. Kids dress as their favorite characters for Halloween, fans decorate their Christmas trees every year with Star Wars ornaments and lights, and in springtime, families gather together to decorate Easter eggs Star Wars-style. My house is no exception and a great time was to be had last Sunday as Dylan Mac lead the charge. We decided on a Clone Wars theme this year and bought the kit to make it happen.
Before we started, we fired up the home stereo and cranked up the Ep. 4 soundtrack. Dylan was very deliberate about the colors chosen to represent specific characters. Of course, the Yoda egg was to be green, Ahsoka got a pink egg, and we decided orange would be perfect for Asaaj. Then, the decorating commenced.
We might be the best decorators in the world, but we were satisfied with the outcome.
It was good to hear from fellow Star Wars fans who were also enjoying Easter in a Star Wars kinda way. Here is a great email from faithful ForceCast listener Joshua Regus who used his skills to create some fantastic Star Wars Easter eggs...
Hope you enjoy. It took me awhile to make them. My niece wanted me to paint eggs with her. So I decided to make Star Wars eggs. Hope you like them.
Nothing beats combining Star Wars and the holidays and sharing it with a kid who loves the saga. And nothing beats still having dye on your fingers and egg breath the day after!
HAPPY EASTER FROM A GALAXY FAR, FAR AWAY FROM THE FORCECAST!
