T.G.I...Star Wars!
Posted by Jim on January 6, 2010 at 02:11 PM CST:

Star Wars is everywhere!

While enjoying some mid-day chicken wings and cheese sticks at the TGI Fridays in Aurora, Illinois recently, we were surprised to see Star Wars proudly being represented on the restaurant walls. Notice in the photo gallery, you will see not one, but two Millennium Falcons plus a Boba Fett helmet spicing up the decor. We could ascertain that one of the Falcons was a vintage Kenner ship while the other was from Hasbro's POTF2 line. Cannot quite tell what kind of Boba Fett helmet that is.

As we were snapping our pix, a doofus waiter approached us and asked if we were big Star TREK fans because we were taking pictures of "Spock". We knew it would be pointless to explain to him that we are actually Star WARS fans. And, we also knew it would be an even bigger waste of time to explain to him that it's KIRK on their walls, NOT SPOCK.

Now, I am not a regular to any of the TGI Friday's restaurants, so I cannot be sure if their establishments are decorated with the same stuff, or if every TGI Fridays has unique items. But I am willing to bet they all are filled with different memorabilia. So, if you go to a TGI Fridays (or any other restaurant) and you see a Millennium Falcon, Boba Fett helmet, or any other type of Star Wars collectible being used as decoration, please snap some pix and send them to us at ForceCast@ForceCast.net to be featured in a future blog.

The galaxy is eating!
